SECares Initiative: Sabah Energy Corporation Donates Computers to Kudat Orphanage

KUDAT: Sabah Energy Corporation (SEC) continues to demonstrate its commitment to community welfare through its latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the SECares Program.

A key objective of the program is to reduce the digital divide, particularly among underprivileged children.

As part of this effort, the program has donated 10 upgraded and new computers and peripherals to the Baitul Hidayah Orphanage Home in Kudat. This contribution aims to provide the children with access to technology and enhance their educational opportunities.

By providing essential technological resources to the orphanage, SEC aims to empower the residents with access to modern educational tools, thereby enhancing their learning experience and facilitating their academic journey.

“At SEC, we believe in the transformative power of education and technology. It is a powerful tool that can break the cycle of generational poverty,” said Datuk Adzmir, CEO of Sabah Energy Corporation.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sabah Energy Corporation for their generous contribution,” expressed Encik Awang Lahaji Rokimin, the Secretary of Baitul Hidayah Orphanage Home. “This donation will undoubtedly make a significant difference in the lives of our residents, providing them with valuable resources to excel academically and pursue their dreams. We are truly grateful for SEC’s support and commitment to our cause.”

For the record, the Baitul Hidayah Orphanage Home shelters 15 young children, ranging in age from 9, the youngest, to 17, the oldest, providing them with care, support, and educational opportunities.
