UCSF and MASTRA Collaborate to Complement Manpower Needs for Blue Economy

KOTA KINABALU: Maritime Strategic Association of Malaysia (MASTRA) paid a courtesy visit to University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF) today at its campus in Sembulan. 

The delegation, led by First Admiral (Retired) Dato’ IR Hj Ahmad Murad, the President of MASTRA and accompanied by Dato IR Wan Othman Wan Othman, Captain Norfaizal and Mohd Nasruddin Yaakub, discussed potential areas of collaboration with UCSF regarding the need for skilled manpower in the maritime sector and blue economy in Sabah. 

The delegation from MASTRA was received by Datuk Mohd Yaakub Johari, the Chairman of the Board of Directors for UCSF, and Dr Rafiq Idris, the Vice Chancellor.UCSF and MASTRA expressed their interest in collaborating to prepare more skilled manpower in the maritime sector in Sabah. 

This collaboration is part of UCSF’s ongoing efforts to support and complement the needs of the maritime sector, working alongside other stakeholders. Dr Rafiq, the Vice Chancellor of UCSF, stated that UCSF will work with relevant stakeholders who have the competency and expertise in the maritime sector to complement the needs of Sabah’s blue economy.
