Chief Minister flags off Borneo Safari convoy

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor flagged off the 31st Borneo Safari International Offroad Challenge at the Sabah Tourism Board building in Gaya Street, here today.

A total of 530 vehicles and about 1,500 local and international off-road challenge enthusiasts are taking part in the expedition from Oct 29 to Nov 5.

Accompanying the Chief Minister at the flagging off ceremony were Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew, her assistant Datuk Joniston Bangkuai who is also chairman of the Sabah Tourism Board, Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports, Datuk Fairuz Renddan, and Sabah Four-Wheel Drive Association President Faez Nordin.
