Chief Minister attends the swearing-in ceremony of the 17th Yang Di-Pertuan Agong

KUALA LUMPUR: Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor attended the swearing-in and signing of the proclamation of office ceremony of the 17th Yang Di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim for a five-year term at Istana Negara today.

The ceremony held during the 264th (Special) Meeting of the Conference of Rulers at Balairung Seri (throne room), Istana Negara also saw the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, being sworn in as Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong for the same period.

His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ascended to the throne replacing Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, who completed his reign as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Jan 30.

State Secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong accompanied Hajiji to the ceremony.
