Kota Kinabalu : Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) reaffirms its stand to uphold political stability and unity among local parties as the foundation for Sabah’s continued growth and progress. In the midst of shifting political alignments, PBS remains steadfast in its belief that the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) is the right and most credible platform for Sabahans to rally behind.
Over the past year, the GRS government has demonstrated tangible achievements — from stronger fiscal management to accelerated progress on matters related to the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63). Through constructive partnership with the Federal Government and cooperation with Pakatan Harapan (PH), Sabah has received wider fiscal space, larger budget allocations, and unprecedented attention to its development needs. The pace of MA63 implementation today is far better and faster than under previous administrations.
With this stability, we can focus on what truly matters — developing Sabah, increasing state revenue, and strengthening our financial reserves for the benefit of future generations. Our collaboration with the Federal Government is not one of dependency, but of mutual respect and partnership. There has been no interference in Sabah’s affairs; instead, what we have built is a healthy relationship that prioritises the well-being of the people and the autonomy of our state.
As the longest-standing local party in Sabah, PBS has gone through the full cycle of political life — the hardship, successes, and valuable lessons that have shaped our commitment to the people. We have learned that hard confrontation will not move us forward. What will bring Sabah to the next level are mature negotiations, professional dialogue, and sincere cooperation among all parties who truly love this land.
To all Sabahans and PBS supporters —
Let us stay united under the GRS banner. Let us continue to support this government that has proven its sincerity and effectiveness. Together, we can give GRS a strong and decisive mandate in the coming state election, so that the vision of a prosperous, dignified, and self-reliant Sabah will continue to move forward.
United for Stability. United for Sabah.
